Diction moves into the iconic Stelling House.
Diction Translation Agency expands its office and moves into the iconic Stelling House, designed by Arne Jacobsen.
On January 1, 2018, the translation agency Diction will open the doors to its new office headquarters at Gammeltorv 6 in Copenhagen K. The new headquarters is much larger than Diction's old premises, which were also located at Gammeltorv, but as part of a shared office space.
"We are overwhelmed by the growth we have experienced in recent years, and therefore it is now necessary for us to get more space and prepare for future growth. With our new premises, we have the opportunity to fulfill our dream of a modern office, where we create the framework for innovative thinking in an otherwise conservative translation industry," says CEO Martin Boberg.
In addition, the central location on Strøget/Gammeltorv continues to provide the opportunity to easily invite customers and partners to meetings and events. Diction currently has more than 1,000 business customers from both domestic and international markets.
Continued focus on e-business translation
Despite the central location and the larger premises, which are inviting for customers, Diction's plan is still to maintain much of the contact with customers via its customer portal, email, and phone.
"We find that our customers often want to be as efficient as possible, and therefore they are attracted to having everything handled electronically rather than holding many time-consuming physical meetings. Therefore, we will continue to specialize in being able to serve our customers effectively online, which also makes our service highly scalable," says Martin Boberg.
The new premises can accommodate around 20 employees. The current staff consists of 8 administrative employees, most of whom serve as project managers and coordinate projects among more than 1,000 freelance translators from all over the world.
Represented in Sweden and Norway
Half of Diction's business comes from customers in Sweden and Norway, where there are offices in both Uppsala and Oslo. According to Martin Boberg, the local presence is still necessary, and therefore Diction will continue to be represented in both markets.
"It is crucial to understand our customers' local challenges, both in terms of business, language, and culture. Therefore, we also have Norwegian and Swedish project managers for our customers from both Norway and Sweden. Going forward, we will still be represented with offices in both countries, so there are no major changes here," says Martin Boberg.
Diction will take over the new lease as of January 1, 2018, and an opening reception for the new office will be held during the month of January.
