Diction wins a tender worth 2.8 million kroner and becomes the sole supplier of translations to the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority
The translation agency Diction wins a public tender worth around 2.8 million kroner and will supply translations to the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority for the next 4 years.
Scope of the framework agreement
The framework agreement covers the translation of economic, legal and technical texts. The majority of the translations will be from Danish to English, but will also involve other language combinations.
The framework agreement includes both translation and proofreading and was awarded to Diction following a public tender. Diction was assessed as the most suitable translation agency for the task out of eight translation agencies that had bid. The award decision was based on both price and quality.
Martin Boberg, CEO of Diction, states: "Diction is pleased and proud of the agreement with the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority. Our expertise in economic and legal translations, as well as our ability to handle a large number of tasks at once, means that we are the perfect supplier for the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority. We started the collaboration in June, and it has been clear that the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority works in a very structured and professional manner. We are very optimistic about the rest of the collaboration."
Diction as a supplier to several public institutions in Denmark
The framework agreement is the result of an internal effort at Diction combined with a demand from the public sector for a specialized translation supplier. Diction has specialized in several areas, including the translation of financial and economic texts, and it has therefore been natural for Diction to bid on this contract. The framework agreement is the second major tender that Diction has won. Earlier this year, another framework agreement came into force, making Diction the sole supplier for three Danish ministries and all their associated organizations. Martin Boberg expects that public tenders will continue to be a focus area for Diction in the future. He states: "Our agency has undergone a development that means we can deliver translation services at a high level, and combined with our technological level, it gives us the capacity to serve the largest organizations in Denmark. It is no secret that we are also continuing to experience growth in Sweden and Norway, and it would therefore be natural for us to also bid on public contracts there."
The Danish Financial Supervisory Authority is an agency under the Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs with an independent board. The purpose of the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority is to ensure supervision in the financial sector of Danish financial companies, banks and mortgage institutions, pension and insurance companies, investment funds, investment companies and stockbrokers, etc. The central supervisory activity is to monitor that the companies have sufficient capital in relation to the risks they have taken on (solvency supervision).
