Diction wins a Norwegian translation contract worth 8 million Norwegian kroner and becomes a supplier to Høgskulen på Vestlandet.

It is the translation agency Diction that will henceforth translate, proofread and transcribe for the 1,800 employees at Høgskulen på Vestlandet. The contract is worth 8 million Norwegian kroner, and the collaboration began in the first half of 2024 and extends over four years.

Translation of scientific texts in an international academic environment

Høgskulen på Vestlandet is active in both national and international academic environments, where a large number of scientific texts such as scientific articles, doctoral theses, essays and research materials must be translated from Norwegian (bokmål and nynorsk) to English and vice versa.

In addition to Norwegian and English, Diction also translates Spanish, French and German. Before the decision was made, Diction was evaluated together with three other language providers with regard to quality, competence and experience - Diction was assessed to be the most suitable language provider and was awarded the contract.

Diction takes a decisive step towards becoming a permanent player in the Norwegian language market

With the framework agreement, Diction has now taken a decisive step towards remaining a permanent player in the Norwegian language market. Diction has been active in the Norwegian market since 2016 and has built up a customer portfolio with a particular focus on the education and research sector. This has resulted in Diction helping several Norwegian universities, including the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), the University of Oslo, the University of Bergen and Nord University.

According to Martin Boberg, the education and research sector will continue to be a focus area for Diction in the future. He says:
